There will be a one time set-up charge for custom logos/decals. The cost depends upon the degree of difficulty (how much time it takes to make it ready to produce in vinyl) and the method used to make it. The number of colors used will also affect the price. The quality of your decal/logo will be determined by the type of file or artwork that we receive from you.

There are two types of graphic files, vector and raster. We prefer to use vector files. Vector files are made up entirely of points with lines connecting them. They are like "outlines" of the graphic. These files are completely scalable at any size without a loss in clarity. Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw files are in vector format.

The second type of graphic files are raster files. They are also known as bitmap files. They are made up of tiny bits or pixels. They are similar to the image on a TV screen. Every bit or pixel is assigned a color and are usually measured in dots per inch (dpi). Photographic images will always be in raster form. Although raster files are the most common graphic format used, there is a disadvantage in these types of files. They do not enlarge well. Usually there is a larger set-up charge when you submit a file in raster form. This is because we often need to rebuild the file into a vector format. BMP, EPS, GIF, JPG, PNG and TIF files are raster images. GIF and JPG files are usually too small in size to use. The type of raster files we prefer to use are large TIF files. Our size limit for sending by e-mail is 2 MG. You can mail us larger files on CD. We cannot accept zip disks. If you have your decal/logo in PDF format, please send that also. PDF files are not editable and help us to match colors.

We can also accept clean black and white artwork, up to 8-1/2" x 11" in size. Logos taken from business cards never work well. The closer the artwork is to 8-1/2" x 11", the better it will reproduce.

We will do our best to produce a decal/logo from the files or artwork that you send us. We can usually accept files in either PC or MAC formats. The files types we do accept are: Adobe Illustrator - up to version 7.0 (version 1.1 works best) (text must be converted to outlines), Corel Draw - up to version 9.0 (text must be converted to outlines), BMP, EPS, PNG, TIF, and WMF. We cannot accept QuarkXPress files.
